My friend Nissa and I did a 5K this past weekend. I am not the best runner, but I ran way faster than the other two 5Ks I've done, so I felt pretty good about it.

Candle-light Valentine's Dinner
Jake and I aren't huge Valentine's Day people, so we decided to have a candlelight dinner with the kids instead of going on a date. I wish I would have taken a picture of Griff's face when he saw the table. It was priceless. The kids were so excited to have such a "fancy" dinner. Lily's favorite part was the sparkling apple cider in the plastic champagne flutes.
"Forts don't got carpet!"
Jake was so cute one night and made a huge fort for the kids while I was at a GNO. They loved it, and were mad when I took it down to work-out. Mean Mommy.
Classic
We went to Classic with the kid's school. Griffin and Sam weren't up for skating, but wanted to ride their scooters. I realize this is a picture of Griff's back, but it should be no surprise that I couldn't get Griff to hold still long enough for a picture.
Lily braved the skating. She is getting better at it.
Eek!
Lily got to bring home this rat puppet thing for school. They are supposed to read to it and take it on adventures and write about it. Our adventure was going to Sam's Club. Exciting right? Anyway, she kept getting it near my face and I was creeped out by it. She was pretty offended, but I'm not a fan of rodents. :)
"It's my choice"
Sam's latest thing is thumbs up. He gives me this crazy face and says, "It's my choice." No idea what that means, but it's funny.
Hockey
The kids and I went to a Grizzlies game one day when they were out of school. Mostly I remember these loud horns, but it was fun. First hockey game I'd been to, I think.
Sledding 2014
I must admit I find sledding much more enjoyable now than I ever did as a kid. We had fun and Sam even liked it this year.
