Griffin T-ball June 2012 and Liberty Park July 2012

I love Griff all ready to catch. It was pretty funny watching the games most of the time, but I think they learned a lot, and I had fun watching them.

Liberty Park

Sam hasn't really been a fan of splash parks, but he liked the water here.

It has become a tradition to go to Liberty Park every Summer with Grandma and the Harker cousins. Grandma usually even pays for us to go on a ride or two.

Summer Fun

I don't know if you can see it too well, but Lily got quite a rug burn on her face. She was playing with a truck at home, and she was crawling and pushing it. It slipped out from under her and she skinned her face pretty good.

We have had a fun and busy summer so far. We have been to the splash park a few times, the dinosaur park, movies, the library for story time etc etc. The kids have also been in a summer preschool class twice a week. More on that later.

Lily's Dance recital June 2012

Getting ready before. She was pretty patient with her extra slow hairdresser Mom.
 All ready to go
She performed at Northridge High School. She did two different tap dances. They were so cute, and she did really well. I really like her teacher. She is very fun and nice, but very disciplined.
I told Lily I was going to turn the camera in this one. I guess she heard me tell her to turn her head. Either way it turned out pretty cute.
 On stage

Our families were really supportive to come watch Lily dance. This is Lily with her cousin Brooke. Lily LOVED that she came.

The recital was really well done, I thought. Jake just about died sitting through it, and he even left after Lily was done. It was really long, but I liked it. Lily wanted to stay for all of it too, and she loved it. Griffin said he wanted to stay, but later regretted it.

Ouch!

 After
My little girl is growing up! Lily has been asking to get her ears pierced, and Jake and I had previously said we would let her when she started asking. I warned her that it would hurt a little, but I may have undersold it a bit. Not purposely though. I honestly don't remember it hurting, but she was a little freaked out. I think it hurt more than she expected, but she held really still and was brave. It's funny how much older she looks just having her ears pierced.

Preschool Graduation May 2012

All the kids showing off their cute graduation balloons from Gma and Papa Baldwin. Sam even got some so he didn't feel left out.
We were lucky to have both sets of grandparents there for the event.

The kids had a lot of fun playing at the park before the ceremony. I was lucky enough to get Jake's Dad's pictures from his camera too, and he had some really cute shots of the kids playing.

They sang some really cute songs.

Then they received their "diplomas". I loved their teacher, and they loved preschool. They met a lot of cute friends. I can't believe they start Kindergarten in a couple of months!

I decided to be crafty and bring some graduation themed treats for the kids for their last day of preschool. I thought they turned out pretty well. Thank you Pinterest. The bottom one is a fruit roll-up tied up like a diploma.(in case it's hard to tell) I know these pictures aren't the best. It was one of those hurry and take a picture in the garage before you're late kind of pictures.
